Ceramic products are made from a finer, more refined clay that allows for intricate detailing and a smooth finish. After the clay is shaped and carefully dried, it undergoes a high-temperature firing in a kiln, which hardens the material and prepares it for glazing. A layer of glaze is then applied, adding color and a glossy or matte finish. The piece is fired a second time to set the glaze, resulting in a durable, non-porous product with a vibrant, polished appearance.
